The desire to promote the welfare of others, expressed especially
by the generous donation of money, to good causes.
At Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley we break this down in three areas:

Become a Board Member!
The highest level of volunteering at the Club is that of a Board Member.
TYPES OF VOLUNTEERS

What does this look like?
You commit to teaching a certain number of classes over a 4, 6, or 8 week period of time, once a week, at a specific location. We are so thankful to Robyn Richardson, owner & art director of Studio 92 Photography, who will be hosting a 6 six week photography session for our middle school members at the Gary M. Thomas Clubhouse this summer. She will be teaching about portrait and landscape photography. The cameras we will be using were donated by the Los Angeles Center of Photography in 2019.

Giving with Options!
Join the Monthly Giving Club
These are individuals who want to ensure no child in the West Valley is left behind. A monthly gift commitment of $10 a month can make a huge impact on a youth. Our goal is to have at least 200 monthly givers.
Sponsor an Event
This is a great way to get your name associated with a great cause. Our event sponsors tell the community they do Whatever It Takes to ensure there are safe spaces for our kids.
Join the Heritage Club
This is the highest level of giving. Members of the Heritage Club are those who remember the Club in their estate plans. They ensure the legacy they built here is supported for years to come by making a gift at their passing. If you have remembered the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley in your estate, let us know so we can honor you in life and ensure your gift is structured in a manner to best support the future of the Club and its members.
Corporate Matching Funds
As a registered non-profit in the State of California we are eligible to receive matching gifts through your place of employment. The best way to know if your company will match your gift to us is by contacting your HR Office.
Become a Corporate Champion
This is an opportunity for local businesses and business owners to support the Club’s mission year round. Sponsorship levels provide access and recognition at major events June 2022 – May 2023.
Endowment
These are funds which are invested and the Club uses the interest generated to support the general operations of the Club. You can also establish a family or business named Endowment for as little as $25,000.
Establish an Annuity
Secure an income stream for yourself through a gift to the Club and know that the remainder will go to the Club at your passing
Stocks & Crypto
Gifts of stock or cryptocurrency are accepted by the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley. Your broker just needs to call D.A. Davison at (818) 933-5542 and speak with Daphne Martin, CWS®. They will take your gift and process the exchange. Our policy is to sell the stock immediately.
Donor Advised Funds
Can be used to support the Club.
Gifts should be mailed to:

Future Ready I Have a Plan Scholarship
The Future Ready team at the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley is honored to present the Future Ready I Have a Plan Scholarship. In 2018, this scholarship was created and designed by our own Future Ready team and has been sponsored every year since then by a multitude of donors who we thank with all our hearts for believing in our students. Our scholarship is called Future Ready I Have a Plan Scholarship and the name says it all.
The Future Ready program at the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley is committed to helping high school students achieve their dreams and plan for their futures. Future Ready I Have a Plan Scholarship is designed to assist our high school seniors plan for their post-high school endeavors, whether that’s college, vocational school, the military, or the workforce – our mission is to help our students prepare for their outstanding futures.
The Future Ready I Have a Plan Scholarship does that by asking each applicant to create a weekly calendar outlining their schedule for the upcoming year, which gives our students the opportunity to think about how they will manage their time after they complete high school. The scholarship also asks our students to write a short essay about how they managed stress during high school and how they will manage stress in their post-high school endeavors. This exercise helps each of our students to understand and plan for both the opportunities and challenges they will experience as they begin a new phase of their lives, whether that is college, vocational school, the military, or a career.
Thank you for your support by donating to our Scholarship fund.
