Giving Tuesday is when we kick off our end-of-year matching challenge. We invite you to share your generosity to impact kids’ lives in your community.
Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley is excited to have matching challenges for those who join this Giving Challenge and every gift, BIG or small will ensure we finish the year financially strong, ensuring NO CHILD in the West San Fernando Valley is ever excluded from access to a safe, welcoming, and fun Club experience during the most critical hours of the day.
Annual Membership at the Gary M. Thomas Clubhouse is $70 for the year. Our day camps during school breaks are just $30 a day. Scholarships are provided to kids whose families are facing financial hardship. Because of your generosity, no young person is ever turned away.
Here is how the $5 Challenge works:
- You GIVE $5.
- You CHALLENGE five (5) friends to join you in giving $5.
- We will match the $30 made.
This means your $5 turns into $60 of impact for the Club.
BONUS 1: If you and your friends make your gift a recurring monthly gift, we will match your collective commitment of $720, and the total impact becomes $1,440.
BONUS 2: You can always increase your gift to $30 or $100; all gifts will be matched, and together we can increase the impact for kids in our community.
Our goal by December 31, 2025, is to have 100 individuals join and invite their friends to join them for a total of 500 gifts. Will you accept the invitation?
When we hit the first 100 participant goal, in addition to the matching gift, we will receive an additional $10,000.
